Frequently asked questions
How do I start and control the game?
Select an air corps and the number of starting lives in the flight briefing, then choose Start Mission. Touch and swipe on the battlefield to guide your aircraft. Firing and automatic fire are available through the game controls.
What is the objective?
Intercept all 200 opposing aircraft over Gettysburg. The battle is divided across the three historical battle days shown in the game.
How do awards and the Service Record work?
The first award is granted on the first interception. Further awards are unlocked as your interception count increases. The Service Record shows the awards earned during the current game and adapts its appearance to the selected air corps.
Why does my aircraft change after it is destroyed?
This is intentional. When a replacement aircraft enters the battle, the game randomly selects another available aircraft design for your chosen side to provide more visual variety.
Why is the game locked to portrait orientation?
Air Battle Gettysburg is designed specifically for portrait play on iPhone. This is intentional. A browser preview can behave differently from the installed iOS app.
Why can I not hear sound?
Start the game by tapping the screen, increase the media volume and check whether audio is being routed to Bluetooth headphones, a vehicle or another device. Also check the iPhone's silent-mode and Focus settings.
Do I need an internet connection or an account?
The installed game does not require a user account or a continuous internet connection. A connection is needed to download or update the app, view these web pages and send support email.
What information is saved?
The high score, selected air corps, selected starting lives and tutorial status are stored locally on the device. The active battle is not designed as a permanent cloud save. See the Privacy Policy for details.
The app is not responding. What should I do?
Close and reopen the app. Check the App Store for an update and restart the iPhone if necessary. If the problem remains, contact support with the reproduction steps. Reinstalling the app can remove local settings and the high score.
How are purchases and refunds handled?
Apple handles App Store billing and refund eligibility. If applicable, use Apple's Report a Problem service. Contact us for technical questions about the game.
