This Privacy Policy explains how the iPhone app New York My Day handles data.
Not an official city government app
New York My Day is a privately developed app. It is not an official product, service, publication, or communication channel of New York, any city government, any local authority, or any other public agency. There is no commission, cooperation, approval, partnership, endorsement, or official connection with New York or its administration.

Short version
- The app does not require registration or a user account.
- The app does not use advertising or third-party tracking.
- The app does not use analytics services operated by the app provider.
- Your layout settings are stored locally on Your device.
- Your optional personal dates are stored locally on Your device.
- If You choose a background photo, it is used locally in the app and is not uploaded to the app provider.
Data processed locally by the app
New York My Day is designed as a local day and layout app. Depending on Your settings, the app may store the following information locally on Your iPhone:
- Layout settings such as positions, sizes, colors, fonts, visible elements, and layout lock status.
- Map and pin settings such as pin position, pin size, pin color, emoji pin, shadow, border, and 3D style.
- Calendar, clock, sun time, and widget settings.
- Optional dates entered by You, such as birth date, move-in date, home date, or birthdays of additional people.
- Optional background images selected from Your iPhone photos.
This information is used to restore Your personal app view and display the time values You choose.
No transfer to the app provider
Based on the current feature set, the app settings, dates, pins, and background images described above are processed locally on Your device. They are not transmitted to the app provider, sold, or used for advertising or tracking.
Photos and background images
The app may allow You to select one of Your own photos as a background image. Photo access is used only so You can choose an image for the app background.
The selected image is stored and displayed locally in the app. It is not uploaded to the app provider.
Location data
The app displays maps and freely positionable pins. Based on the current feature set, the app does not automatically determine Your location by GPS and does not transmit location data to the app provider. Pins are placed or moved by You in the app.
Retention and deletion
Locally stored settings remain on Your device until You change or remove them, delete the app data, or uninstall the app.
Because the app provider does not receive these local data, the app provider cannot view or delete them on a server. You can remove local data through the app settings, iOS system functions, or by uninstalling the app.
Apple services
The app does not currently use advertising, tracking, or analytics services operated by the app provider. When You download the app, use TestFlight, submit crash reports, or use system-related services, Apple may process data under Apple's own privacy terms.
Your choices
You decide which optional app elements are shown, which dates You enter, whether You use a background image, and how Your personal layout is arranged.
Many local values can be changed or removed directly in the app by changing settings, removing app data, or uninstalling the app.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app features or legal requirements change. The current version will be provided at this privacy URL.
